Rehearsal Day: The FCO performs two high-quality concert events each calendar year, generally occurring in May and September. Events are held either in Maryborough or Hervey Bay, and the majority of rehearsals take place at Maryborough State High School. As this is a seasonal orchestra, we rehearse only in the 6-8 week lead up to each concert – the rehearsal schedule includes a few evening practices, plus a weekend workshop.
Members are expected to learn their parts outside of rehearsal time, to maximise the short rehearsal process.
